The Greenest Home Neighborhood !

August 3, 2012

The focus at this blog is about the unique and exciting features of the Greenest Home Design. But one can take a sec to imagine how they would fit together to make a community. This early study shows a massing and siting option. The idea here is to use less land than a traditional development , but get a greater sense of space , and much better livability. The lots here are 30 feet wide , less than the fifty you see alot. But the key is to stagger the homes front to back , giving each a bigger visual space. These open areas can be big veggie gardens and decks and ponds. The secret of the home design that makes this really work well is that there are NO windows on the north side of the home. This means total privacy for the open south side of the next model!

Artist’s rendering of the interior of the 1 story Greenest Home

August 1, 2012

This is a great view illustrating the pleasant light-filled interior of the one story model for the Greenest Home. The shape of the custom roof structural trusses give the ceiling it’s distinctive form. The way the shapes rise as they move to the exterior walls will give the home an uplifting character. The whole ceiling is finished in the cork-faced panels giving the home a warm and quiet feeling.
